ABOUT
DEKKA INSTRUMENTS

Dekka Instruments started as a father-son project (David and Ethan Knoebel). Ethan being a guitar player, and his father David being a woodworker, building an instrument from scratch was an inevitability - and after they built the first, they were hooked.
"I wanted to make guitars that you couldn’t buy in stores. I wanted to make neck profiles that couldn’t be found, try different pickup configurations I hadn’t heard, and do finishes that I hadn't seen."
-Ethan Knoebel
As Ethan and David continued building guitars, they saw interest from local musicians in St. Louis and surrounding areas, allowing them to continue to refine their overall process and approach.
Dekka Instruments crafts unique designs that are a mixture of modern and new - while retaining a custom, handmade vibe. We provide several models that serve as platforms for musicians to create their instrument, with almost every aspect customizable: pickup selections, configurations, colors, fretboard material, neck profile, etc. If you can dream it – we can build it. Because at the end of the day we don’t just want to build a guitar, we want to build your guitar.
WHY CHOOSE A DEKKA?
From the beginning we wanted to make guitars that were tailored to the player. While there is a lot to love about guitars off the shelf, there is something really special about a piece built to your hands, playing style, pickups that are hand-selected and paired with electronics that are tuned to your sound. Not to mention an instrument with a custom finish that you can't help but pick back up to every single time you walk by. All of these attributes in concert create an instrument that is truly an extension of yourself.
Since we’re a small team, Ethan goes through every build with a fine tooth comb. Whether that's the finish, the nut, the fretwork, or even the sonic non-negotiables: things like measuring the resistance of the potentiometers to ensure you aren't just getting another guitar fresh off of an assembly line, but instead you're getting
your guitar.
As Dekka Instruments continues to grow, Ethan is committed to being just as hands-on as he is today. His love for the craft is apparent in every build.
